Job Title: Quality Engineer – New Product DevelopmentLocation: Shivare, PuneExperience: 5-8 YearsJob Summary:We are looking for a Quality Engineer – New Product Development with 5–8 years of experience to lead end-to-end product development from concept to mass production. The role involves driving NPD activities, ensuring product quality, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and managing APQP/PPAP processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electronics manufacturing, automotive quality standards, and problem-solving methodologies to deliver products on time, within cost, and meeting customer expectations.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end development of new products from concept to mass productionPrepare product design concepts, specifications, and feasibility studiesCoordinate prototype development and validation activitiesWork closely with design, R&D, quality, production, and supply chain teamsAct as a bridge between customer requirements and internal teamsCoordinate with vendors/suppliers for new components developmentPlan and track NPD timelines, milestones, and deliverablesEnsure projects are completed within cost, quality, and time targetsIdentify risks and implement mitigation plansUnderstand customer requirements and translate them into technical specificationsParticipate in customer meetings, audits, and reviews (e.g., PPAP, APQP)Provide technical support during product trials and approvalsPrepare and maintain documents like DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SOPsEnsure compliance with industry standards and customer requirementsHandle PPAP documentation and submissionSupport manufacturing team in process setup and line trialsOptimize processes for efficiency, cost, and qualityEnsure smooth product handover to mass productionRequired Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes (PCBA, SMT, testing, functional validation, mechanical drawings).Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSAUnderstanding of electronic components such as MCU, GSM modem, GPS module, ESIM, power circuits, etc.Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).understanding of warranty analysis and field return processStrong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).Ability to interpret technical drawings and specificationsQualifications:BE/B.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Automobile Engineering)5-8 years of experience.
