The Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing a team of professionals in completing multiple large and complex IT projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives. They will be required to perform vendor and contract management during the planning and implementation of projects. Job DutiesProvides project-based leadership for the justification, planning, implementation, and quality assurance testing of assigned projectsSets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes project progressBuilds and maintains constructive working relationships with project team members, vendors and other departments involved with assigned projectsDevelops scope documents, statements of work and other documentation supporting the justification for assigned projectLeads and directs the work of project teams to ensure project efforts are controlled and completed on a timely basisCollaborates with appropriate subject matter experts, establishes resource plans, expected level of effort and duration to complete tasks associated with assigned projectsApplies BDO Project Management Offices methodologiesAdheres to BDO and department policies and proceduresManages and administers other areas, including but not limited to telecommunications ordering and billing functions, as requestedDevelops and manages all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues Assists with project priorities and alignment with direct managementAssists with forecasting portfolio outlined by direct managementActs as an internal quality control check for projects as outlined by direct managementManages ongoing quality control and participates in quality issue resolution for portfolio, as outlined by direct managementParticipates and/or drives National vendors selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholdersOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Directs others as part of the project management process, as needed; however, does not have any direct reportsDirects the day-to-day activities of the Technical Project Management team members as requestedProvides input to management on annual performance reviews of team members as requestedProvides feedback to management on areas for improvementCoaches and mentors Technical Project Management team membersSets and manages project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
