Job Summary:The Diagnostics Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete operations of the diagnostic department, including laboratory services, radiology, and imaging. The role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, efficient workflow, and optimal utilization of resources.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day operations of laboratory and diagnostic imaging services (Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Radiology, etc.)Ensure adherence to quality standards such as NABL and NABH guidelinesMonitor and improve turnaround time (TAT) for diagnostic reportsSupervise and lead a team of lab technicians, radiographers, and support staffEnsure proper maintenance and calibration of diagnostic equipmentCoordinate with doctors and clinical departments for accurate and timely reportingImplement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocolsHandle vendor management and procurement of lab reagents and equipmentMaintain compliance with biomedical waste management and safety protocolsPrepare departmental budgets and monitor expensesEnsure proper documentation, reporting, and audit readinessKey Skills:Strong knowledge of diagnostic lab operations and radiology servicesLeadership and team management skillsKnowledge of accreditation and regulatory standardsAnalytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and coordination skillsProficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) / Life SciencesMaster’s Degree (MMLT / MBA in Hospital Administration) preferredCertifications in Quality Management or Healthcare Operations will be an added advantage
