And the collective is always more important than the individual.Role IntroductionJoining as our first dedicated finance hire, you will take full ownership of the company’s financial operations across multiple entities (UK parent company, Indian and South African subsidiaries, and future entities).You will work very closely with our founder, Andrew Browning, to build and scale a finance function that is accurate, efficient, and designed to scale.This is not a traditional finance role. Alongside running core finance operations, you will be responsible for designing systems, automations, and processes that eliminate manual work and enable the business to scale without adding unnecessary headcount.You will act as both a finance lead and a general operator, taking ownership of problems across the business and driving them to resolution.With this wide scope of responsibilities, you will gain deep exposure to how a global, multi-entity business is built and scaled from an early stage.Responsibilities - What you’ll be doing:Financial OperationsOwn accounts receivable end-to-end, including invoice creation, accuracy, and payment collectionManage accounts payable, including approval and processing of paymentsOversee and approve payroll across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with invoicingEnsure all tax filings and statutory payments are completed accurately and on timeMaintain accurate financial records and ensure clean, auditable data across all entitiesMaintain alignment between intercompany accounts across all entitiesEnsure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactionsSupport the development of a clean, scalable multi-entity financial structureAccountant & Partner ManagementCoordinate and manage external accountants across the UK, India, and South AfricaStandardise reporting outputs, timelines, and data formats across all entitiesAct as the single point of ownership for all finance-related external relationshipsEnsure accountability and performance from all external partnersFinancial Reporting & ForecastingBuild and maintain clear, accurate monthly reportingTrack and report on key metrics, including gross vs net revenue, margins, and cash positionDevelop and maintain financial forecasts, including cash flow and hiring impactSupport decision-making through clear, actionable financial insightsSystems, Automation & Product DevelopmentLead the design and implementation of finance systems and automations that enable the business to scale efficiently without adding unnecessary headcountLead the documentation of finance and operational processes, creating SOPsIntegrate our platform with Xero to automate invoicing and reduce manual workDesign and implement automated workflows for payroll, invoicing, and financial data captureDefine and maintain a single source of truth across systemsWork closely with the product team to design and build new features within our platform that support finance operationsContinuously identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency through tooling and automationBroader OperationsTake ownership of operational problems beyond finance and drive them to resolutionImprove internal processes across the businessSupport vendor selection, tooling decisions, and operational scaling effortsRequirements - What you’ll need to succeed:Be a systems thinker and creative problem solverVery strong intrinsic desire and ability to drive continual process improvementHighly resourcefulVery strong sense of urgencyStrong organisational skillsDeep sense of caring toward your work and the people you do it withEagerness to collaborate with others with an orientation for team success over individualFluent level of written and verbal EnglishHighly detail-orientedStrong operational mindset with the ability to own and solve problems end-to-endAbility to design, build, and improve systems and processesStrong understanding of finance operations (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, reporting)Comfort working across multiple entities and jurisdictionsMinimum 4 years experience in financeExperience implementing significant automation and systems within the finance functionMinimum 2 years experience in a startup or high-growth environmentExperience working with international businesses or multi-entity structures (preferred)Experience with tools such as Xero or similar accounting systems (preferred)Pay & Bonuses - What you’ll get in return:Gross annual salary - India: 12 – 18 LPACompany laptop provided15 days annual leave + public holidaysOpportunity to grow with a fast-scaling businessBe part of a fun, dynamic team and work environmentWork Schedule: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 UK [ 13:30 - 22:30 IST]Development & ProgressionProgress to Head of Finance within 18–24 months depending on performance (tied to key performance indicators)Progress to Director / CFO-level role as the business scales, depending on performanceWork with the founder to define and achieve your own progression goals and targets
