The OpportunityThe Chandler Governance Group (CGG) is hiring a full-time Deputy Director (Data Analytics and Research) to lead the research and development of indices and other data-centric tools to promote high performance government around the world. The candidate will report to the Director (Knowledge). This role may be performed in Singapore, or remotely from any location globally. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the research and development of selected new indices and other data-centric toolsLeverage new technologies, particularly AI, to build indices and data toolsEngage project stakeholders, partners, advisors and expertsManage project budgets and timelines; recruit and manage adjunct researchersExperience and Qualifications Advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or equivalent programme with a focus on statistical methodsAt least 8 to 15 years of experience, including at least 3-5 years leading projects or teams, and 3-5 years working in the public sector or in multilateral organisations like the UN or World Bank.Experience in using AI effectively to develop indices and data tools is a key requirementSkills and AptitudesExceptional intellectual agility, able to quickly understand unfamiliar topics and domain areas in public policy, and identify new ways to measure government capabilities in those areasProven ability to successfully lead projects of comparable scale and complexityExceptional ability to interpret data and analyse trends. with keen attention to detailProficiency in statistical software programs, such as Stata, R or SPSS, or equivalentAbility to communicate ideas clearlyAbout the Chandler Governance Group (CGG)Headquartered in Singapore, CGG is a privately funded and non-profit organisation founded on the belief that good governments are the foundation of flourishing, prosperous communities and nations.
