EO enables learners to access IIT Bombay’s world-class faculty and research expertise through online, hybrid, and in-person programs that blend academic depth with industry relevance.Role Overview :IIT Bombay’s Educational Outreach team is looking for a dynamic Assistant Program Manager to support the design and execution of high-impact educational programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives. The Finance & Accounts Manager will anchor the financial operations of executive education programmes under Educational Outreach, IIT Bombay. The role requires hands-on ownership of accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, along with close coordination with programme teams, participants, and institute finance functions.Key Responsibilities:Financial ManagementManage end-to-end financial operations across executive education programmesMonitor budgets, revenues, and expenditures at a programme levelTrack fee collections, refunds, and outstanding receivablesPrepare programme-wise financial summaries and statementsEnsure compliance with GST, TDS, and applicable statutory normsSupport internal and external auditsMaintain proper documentation for compliance and audit readinessAccounting & BookkeepingMaintain accurate books of accounts for all programme transactionsProcess invoices, receipts, and journal entriesEnsure correct allocation of revenues and costsConduct regular bank and ledger reconciliationsBilling & Financial ReportingRaise invoices and coordinate with participants/corporates for collectionsTrack outstanding payments and ensure timely follow-upsMaintain participant-level financial recordsPrepare periodic MIS and financial reports for managementProvide insights into programme financial performanceSupport budgeting and forecasting processesEligibility Criteria / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance with minimum 8 years of relevant experience ORMBA (Finance) / / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) with minimum 6 years of relevant experiencePreferred QualificationsCA / CMA (fully qualified)Experience in programme finance, project accounting, within the education sectorPlease note:This is a 3 year contract, Mumbai-based on-campus role.
