Job Description:The purpose of this job is to operate, monitor, measure, maintain, and repair utility systems (plant steam, compressed air, water and wastewater treatment systems, chillers, and cooling towers) along with associated equipment.Non-negotiable: First Class Boiler Attendant Certification (Must have)Key ResponsibilitiesAccountable for operation, maintenance, and improvement of utility equipment including:(Boilers, Air compressors, Water treatment plants, Wastewater treatment plants (ETP/STP), Dehumidifiers, Steam, compressed air & water distribution networks, Fire protection systems, Fuel storage (LPG & HSD), Chillers and cooling towers)Perform daily checks, monitor performance, and take CA for deviationsEnsure adherence to safety programs, LOTO, permit systems, and SOPsParticipate in risk assessments, environmental studies, and CAPAExecute preventive maintenance (PM) and maintain recordsResolve breakdowns and perform root cause analysis (RCA)Maintain MTBF, MTTR, and equipment historyMaintain logs and ensure compliance with audits, GMP, and statutory requirementsMonitor fuel levels and maintain spare inventoryConduct lab testing of - (Raw water, Boiler feed water, Process water, Wastewater)Execute improvement projects and efficiency enhancementsMaintain sewerage and drainage systemsIdentify and fix leakages in steam and compressed air systemsPrepare reports for energy and water indices (SiG)Ensure corrosion protection and scaling control in boilersCoordinate with cross-functional teamsEnsure >99% utility availability for productionSupport installation and startup of new equipmentParticipate in shift handovers and daily reviewsImplement 5S practicesControl maintenance costs within operating planParticipate in change managementDrive: (Energy conservation, Water reduction, Cost reduction (3% YoY), Quality improvements, Support plant emergency response)Functional RequirementsEnsure compliance with Mars Quality Management Process (QMP)Follow GMP, hygiene, and food safety requirementsEnsure compliance with safety and environmental standards (SES)Identify risks and ensure proper reportingSupport Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) initiativesMars Supply Excellence (MSE)Support autonomous maintenance and team capability buildingDrive progressive maintenance and reliability improvementsParticipate in DMS activities and focused improvementsApply problem-solving techniques (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)Context and ScopeResponsible for utility operations, reliability, and SIG projectsMaintain SAP PM systemCoordinate with site SIG leadTrack KPIs, efficiencies, and documentationJob Specifications / QualificationsEducation:Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (7–8 years experience) ORBE (3–4 years experience)Experience:First Class Boiler Attendant Certification (Must have)~5 years of experienceCompetenciesKey Supporting Competencies· Action Oriented· Priority Setting· Technical Learning· Problem SolvingFunctional / Technical Skills· Utility systems knowledge· Maintenance planning· TroubleshootingBehavioral Competencies· Delivers Consistent Results· Creates Collaborative RelationshipsTechnical Skill LevelsUtility Skills (L2)· Knowledge of boilers, compressors, cooling systems, WTP/ETP· Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance· Understanding of technical drawings and schematicsQuality Skills (L2)· GMP, HACCP, sanitation· Risk assessment and mitigation· Food safety awarenessSafety Skills (L2)· LOTO, work permits, risk assessments· MSDS knowledge· HSE system awarenes
