Our mission is to empower all to make the most of their energy and resources, ensuring that Life Is On everywhere, for everyone, at every moment.About the RoleThe Sales Manager – Electric Utilities (Power & Grid) will drive profitable order intake, market share growth, and long-term account penetration for Schneider Electric’s Power & Grid portfolio by managing end-user electric utility accounts in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, leveraging solution selling, digital grid offerings, and strategic stakeholder engagement.ResponsibilitiesUtility Account Ownership & Business Development Own and manage key end-user electric utility accounts across AP & TelanganaDevelop and execute structured account plans for DISCOMs, TRANSCOs, GENCOs, SLDCsIdentify and track utility CAPEX programs, grid modernization initiatives, and technology upgrade opportunitiesBuild strong relationships with technical, commercial, planning, and decision-making stakeholders within utilitiesSales Execution & Opportunity Management Promote, specify, and sell Schneider Electric Power & Grid solutions, including: Substation Automation & ProtectionPower Systems & Energy ManagementDigital Grid solutions (SCADA / DMS / ADMS / DERMS – where applicable)Drive opportunity qualification, bid participation, techno-commercial alignment, and order closureCoordinate closely with tendering, application engineering, project, and BU teamsNegotiate commercial terms in line with company policies and governanceConsultants, Standards & Influencer Engagement Engage with utility consultants, standard committees, engineering consultants, and key influencersDrive specification positioning and technology adoption for Schneider Electric solutionsDevelop working knowledge of utility standards, grid codes, and procurement norms applicable to AP & Telangana utilitiesMarket Intelligence & Competitive Strategy Track state and central utility investment plans, regulatory developments, and policy changesMonitor competitor activities, project awards, and loss/win analysisProvide structured market feedback to influence offer evolution, pricing strategy, and go-to-market plansEcosystem & Stakeholder Management Work closely with EPCs, system integrators, OEM partners, and consultants involved in utility projectsAct as the customer advocate within Schneider ElectricEnsure seamless coordination between internal stakeholders to deliver a strong customer experienceReporting & Governance Maintain opportunity pipeline, account plans, and forecasts in CRM / BFO toolsEnsure accuracy of sales funnel, hit ratio, and order intake forecastsParticipate in internal reviews and governance processes as required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in electrical / Power / Electronics EngineeringMBA (Sales / Marketing) – preferred Required SkillsStrong understanding of: Transmission & Distribution systemsUtility substations and grid modernizationDigital Energy and Digital Grid conceptsFamiliarity with: Utility tendering processes and procurement frameworksState utility organizational structures and decision cyclesAbility to understand utility business drivers, regulatory context, and long-term planning horizonsStrategic account managementSolution & consultative sellingStrong communication and negotiation skillsStakeholder management across technical, commercial, and regulatory teamsHigh ownership, resilience, and execution discipline Preferred Skills8–10 years of progressive experience in sales / key account managementMandatory experience selling to Electric Utilities – DISCOMs, TRANSCOs, GENCOs, SLDCs, etc.Proven exposure to Power & Grid / T&D / Substation / Grid Modernization solutions Pay range and compensation packageCompetitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Equal Opportunity StatementSchneider Electric is an equal opportunity employer.
