Purpose of the Role:The role is responsible for driving end-to-end deployment and scale-up of packaging initiatives across manufacturing units, ensuring seamless execution from development to commercialization. Additionally, the role will lead and deliver high-impact strategic initiatives aligned with business goals, focusing on innovation, efficiency, cost optimization, and quality enhancement.Key Responsibilities:1. Factory Trials & CommercializationLead factory trials for new packaging developments and ensure smooth commercialization.Validate packaging performance and resolve technical challenges during trials.2. Scale-up Across UnitsDrive standardization and replication of packaging solutions across MUs & CMUs.Ensure consistency in quality, cost, and performance during scale-up.3. Transit Trials & ValidationConduct and evaluate transit trials to ensure packaging durability and integrity.Recommend improvements to minimize damages during logistics.4. Factory SupportProvide technical support to factories for packaging-related issues.Drive continuous improvement in packaging efficiency and quality.5. Strategic InitiativesLead key projects on cost optimization, innovation, and process improvement.Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business-impacting initiatives.Key skills: 1.Good knowledge of Flexibles, Cartons & Corrugated boxes2.Good understanding of printing, lamination & other conversion processesQualification Required: PG Diploma in Packaging from IIP or SIESExperience: 1) Mandatory: 20+ years of relevant experience in Packaging Development in a large FMCG Company2) Preferred:a) Experience in Packaging of Biscuits / Snacks / Confectioneryb) Experience in an MNC FMCG Company
