Job Description

Role OverviewWe're looking for a Community Manager with a programming lens - someone who can build and run the cultural calendar across Subko's Bangalore outlets and, contribute to programming at the Ajji House CO-OP. This is 70% a Subko role: community loyalty, creator relationships, and activations at our cafes. The remaining 30% is dedicated to CO-OP programming, ensuring the space stays culturally alive and consistently excellent.Key Responsibilities: Community & Loyalty Programming: Build and manage community programmes that give Subko regulars a reason to stay invested — loyalty touch points, recurring rituals, and member moments that feel considered rather than templated. You'll track what lands, iterate, and keep the community calendar active across outlets.Events & Activation: Plan and execute events at Subko cafes - community gatherings, brand collaborations, cultural programming. You'll own the calendar, manage logistics, and ensure every activation is coherent with Subko's identity. Expect to be on the floor as much as you're behind a screen.Creator & Influencer Relationships: Own Subko's relationships with creators and cultural figures in Bangalore. Identify the right voices, build genuine connections, and translate those into programming and collaborations that make sense for the brand. This is relationship work first, briefing work second.Programming: Participate in the CO-OP's programming calendar and take ownership of Subko's contribution to it. Coordinate Subko-led activations, ensuring F&B and hospitality touch points are aligned with programming schedules, and acting as the primary Subko point of contact for anything happening in the space.Required Skills & Experience:Essential:2–4 years in community management, cultural programming, or eventsProven ability to build and run programming calendars across multiple contextsStrong relationship-builder - with creators, artists, brands, and communitiesComfortable holding multiple work streams simultaneously without losing coherenceSelf-starter who can manage ambiguity and build systems from scratchPreferred:Background in arts, culture, or hospitalityExisting network within Bangalore's creative communityFamiliarity with Northeast Indian craft traditions or regional creative practicesExperience working across two organisations or teams simultaneouslyEvent production or brand activation experience
