Avirata Defence Systems, part of the SASMOS HET Technologies Group, is focused on building next-generation defence and aerospace electronics integration capabilities.Role OverviewWe are looking for a Deputy Manager – Sourcing to drive operational and tactical sourcing activities across electronics and precision mechanical components.This role will play a key part in ensuring cost-effective, reliable, and timely procurement in a high-reliability, defence-grade manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end sourcing and procurement for:Electronic components (active/passive, PCB/PCBA)Connectors, wiring harness & interconnect systemsCNC machined componentsSheet metal parts & fabricated assembliesIdentify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers (electronics + mechanical)Execute RFQs, cost comparisons, and vendor negotiationsSupport supplier development & performance tracking (cost, quality, delivery)Ensure timely material availability aligned with production schedulesCoordinate with:Engineering (BOM clarity, alternate sourcing)Quality (supplier approvals, compliance)Planning & Manufacturing (material readiness)Monitor and mitigate supply risks:Lead time issuesComponent shortagesVendor capacity constraintsSupport localization / indigenization initiativesMaintain procurement documentation, traceability, and compliance standardsIdeal Candidate Profile5–10 years of experience in sourcing / procurement rolesBackground in electronics / EMS / aerospace / defence / manufacturingStrong exposure to: ✔ Electronic components (PCB, connectors, wiring harness) ✔ CNC machining & sheet metal sourcingHands-on experience in:Vendor identification & developmentRFQ management & negotiationsWorking with engineering BOMsGood understanding of:Manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication)Supply chain challenges in electronicsKey SkillsStrategic & Tactical SourcingVendor Development & ManagementCosting & NegotiationElectronics + Mechanical ProcurementSupply Planning & CoordinationProblem Solving & Execution FocusWhy Join UsOpportunity to be part of a fast-scaling defence platform within the SASMOS GroupExposure to high-reliability, complex manufacturing programsStrong learning curve across electronics + mechanical supply chain
