Job Description: PGT English Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to senior secondary students, adhering to the school's curriculum and standards. Design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and encourage student participation and critical thinking. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to help them improve. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters collaboration, respect, and enthusiasm for learning. Participate in professional development activities, staff meetings, and parent-teacher interactions to support students and enhance teaching strategies. Promote extracurricular activities related to English and literature through clubs, competitions, and events. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and share best practices in teaching methodologies. Essential Qualifications: Master's degree in English or a related field from a recognized university. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree is mandatory. Strong command over the English language, both written and spoken. In-depth knowledge of literature, language arts, and linguistic theory. Desired Experience: Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school. Proven track record of enhancing student performance and engagement in English. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology integration in classrooms.
