Client deployed projectMandatory:Experienced scheduler/operations consultant to run and support VEGA scheduling platform that orchestrates integrations around our Oracle EBS & Fusion.Shift coverage aligned to ERP integration windows (financial close, nightly batch, month/quarter/year end), typically 13:30 – 22:30 IST.Key Responsibilities:Run & Operate – Oracle ERP IntegrationsMonitoring of VEGA schedules, queues, agents, and critical ERP interfaces (inbound/outbound).Triage and resolve failed/late jobs, dependency blocks, long runners, and missed SLAs; execute controlled reruns/restarts without data duplication.Administer calendars, holiday tables, blackout windows, cut offs, and notification/escalation rules aligned to business processes (financial close, order to cash, procure to pay, payroll, etc.).Execute standard requests: new job onboarding, schedule/cycle changes, parameter updates, ad hoc runs, and backfills—under formal change controls.Maintain operational runbooks and knowledge articles for high volume/critical interfaces.Migration of VEGA jobs to VTOM over time.Oracle ERP–Specific Integration OperationsOrchestrate and monitor ERP integrations including:EBS: Concurrent Requests, Interface Tables, Staging/Import programs, UTL_FILE, custom loaders.Oracle Fusion ERP (Cloud): ESS jobs, BI Publisher bursts, FBDI/ADFdi imports, OIC/SOA flows, REST/SOAP API calls, file based integrations (SFTP/HTTPS/OBJECT STORAGE).ETL/ELT & Data: ODI/Data Integrator load plans, data lake ingestion, reporting refreshes.Validate end to end data handshakes: file arrivals (SFTP/AS2/S3), schema validations, pre/post processing scripts, downstream acknowledgements, and reconciliation checks.Operate integration control frameworks (sequence, idempotency, checkpointing, compensating steps) to guarantee data integrity.3) Troubleshooting, RCA & Problem ManagementPerform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on recurring failures (e.g., schema changes, credential expiry, endpoint timeouts, volume spikes) and drive corrective/preventive actions.Collaborate with Oracle functional/technical teams (EBS DBA/Tech, Fusion Cloud, OIC/SOA, DBA, Network/Security) for upstream/downstream fixes.Optimize dependency graphs (parallelization, smart triggers, event/file watchers), shorten windows, and implement restartability and error handling patterns.4) Engineering & AutomationDevelop/enhance Bash/PowerShell/Python scripts for health checks, bulk schedule operations, standardized promotions, and self healing routines (auto retries/backoff).Integrate VEGA with ITSM (ServiceNow/JSM), observability (Grafana/Prometheus, ELK/Splunk, CloudWatch/Azure Monitor), and notifications (email/Teams/Slack).Implement config as code/IaC like guardrails for schedules and migrate changes across environments with version control (Git).Contribute to capacity planning (agents, queues, windows) and non prod/prod upgrade/patch execution with regression validation.5) Service Management & GovernanceOperate within ITIL (Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Knowledge); maintain accurate tickets and stakeholder updates.Produce weekly/monthly service reports (volumes, SLA adherence, MTTR/MTBF, top offenders, automation wins).Participate in on call rotation, DR/BCP tests, and controlled release/change windows.Ensure security, audit, and compliance (least privilege, credential rotations, secrets management, audit trails; SOX where applicable).Required Qualifications & Experience:4–8+ years in enterprise job scheduling/support: VEGA or equivalent (Control M, Autosys, UC4/Automic, Tidal, Redwood, ActiveBatch).Demonstrated Oracle ERP integrations experience:EBS concurrent programs, interface tables, data loaders, file based integrations.Oracle Fusion ERP: ESS/BI Publisher, OIC/SOA orchestrations, REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI pipelines, SFTP/Object Storage flows.Strong Linux operations and scripting (Bash; PowerShell on Windows); Python for automation preferred.Good understanding of RDBMS (Oracle): basic SQL/PLSQL to inspect interface tables, logs, and reconcile counts.Practical knowledge of integration patterns (file/API/queue), error handling, idempotency, checkpointing, and reconciliation.Experience with monitoring/logs (Grafana/Prometheus, ELK/Splunk) and ITSM tools.Clear, concise communication with business and technical stakeholders; proven incident leadership under time pressure.Nice to Have:Oracle middleware/data tooling exposure: ODI, OIC, SOA Suite, OBIEE/BIP, EBS Tech Stack basics.Cloud experience (OCI/AWS/Azure) for storage, networking, secrets, and schedulers.Git/GitLab CI/CD, Ansible/Terraform, and secrets management (Vault/Key Vault).Performance tuning for high volume file/API workloads, file streaming, and back pressure strategies.Prior Managed Services experience with contractual SLAs and service reporting.Tools & Environment Scheduler:VEGA (console, agents, CLI/API)ERP: Oracle E Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion ERP (ESS, BIP, OIC/SOA)OS: Linux (RHEL/Oracle Linux/Ubuntu);
