Scope and AccountabilitiesThe position is located in thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. Waterfront Office in Mumbai and reports to the Team Manager.Location: Service activities will be executed in the beginning mainly in Mumbai, additional locations might come up all over India mainly in Naval Harbours, plus places in nearby countries.Installation, Setting to Work, Harbour Acceptance Tests, Sea Acceptance Tests and Servicing of TKMS ATLAS ELEKTRONIK equipment, especially for Sonar and fire control system, Anti-Submarine Warfare equipment mainly on Indian Navy Submarines, vessels and Land based Test Systems, but also other navy equipment.On-board Support for executing the warranty periods of current and new projects and Annual Maintenance Contracts.Execution of and Support during installation, STW, HAT and SAT including sailing for trials on board naval surface vessels.Execution of Servicing in line with TKMS ATLAS ELEKTRONIK group quality standards as applicable for products in India. (Assurance of German quality in India)Interacting with personnel from TKMS ATLAS ELEKTRONIK Group companies in English language.Sailing for trials on board naval platforms, in particular surface vessels.On-board Field Engineering during warranty period and with regard to Annual Maintenance Contracts. ResponsibilitiesInstallation, Setting to Work, Harbour Acceptance Tests, Sea Acceptance Tests and Servicing of TKMS ATLAS ELEKTRONIK equipment, especially for Sonar and fire control system, Anti-Submarine Warfare equipment mainly on Indian Navy Submarines, vessels and Land based Test Systems, but also other navy equipment.QualificationsGraduate/Diploma in Electronics or similar fields, preferably in Naval field with Desired Profile: Person having At least 3-5 years of experience in field services on Naval Platforms at Sea and in Harbour.Field Engineering know-how and experience in India. Field Engineering know-how and experience internationally would be a plus.International / outside India experience.Engineer / technical understanding, know-how in Electronics + Sonars + mechanical components (Naval Weapon Systems and Sensors would be a plus): Hydraulic systems, Winches, Towed Arrays, Power Drives, PLC control systems, Modules / PCBs, LT/HT cabling, Power Systems, Distribution and Switching, Transducer mounting and test / repair, Software and Algorithms Programming and Installation, Debugging, Microcontrollers, Networking Devices, I/O Devices etc. Know-how and experience regarding HATs and SATs would be a plus.Experience in problem finding and solving in above described systems.Profound know-how (theoretical + practical) and experience regarding the following systems / productsElectronic Consoles, , Sonars, Winches§ Preferred: Network / well connected in§ Naval Dockyard, Mumbai.§ Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam§ Mazagon Dock Limited, Mumbai.§ Goa Shipyard§ Business focussed / oriented.§ Language skills:§ Fluent English is a must. § Hindi would be a plus.§ German would be a plus. § Marathi would be a plus.§ IT skills:Very good skills in MS Office. § Personality:Hands-on, pragmatic person, able to work in start-up environment.Problem-solver: Able to solve problems independently.Team orientation in an international environment.
