Apply now by sending your resume toCopy Editor Spanish Key Responsibilities: Edit Spanish-language instructional materials for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency without altering intended meaning or instructional purpose. Ensure content aligns to Spanish grammar rules, editorial conventions, and project-specific linguistic standards. Review lessons, assessments, teacher materials, and student-facing content to ensure they are error-free and high quality. Ensure consistent use of terminology, formatting, tone, and style across large volumes of content. Apply internal style guides and editorial standards (as well as the client’s style and branding guides where applicable) consistently while deferring instructional decisions to curriculum leads and writers. Identify and correct issues related to spelling, punctuation, syntax, clarity, readability, and linguistic accuracy. Flag inconsistencies, mistranslations, or culturally inappropriate phrasing. Work quickly and accurately to meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications: Exceptional fluency in Spanish, including grammar, usage, and mechanics. Strong proficiency in English to support communication with internal teams. Experience editing or proofreading Spanish-language content. Ability to edit quickly and accurately under tight production timelines. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing error‑free work. Ability to pass a standard copy edit test. Preferred Experience: Experience copy editing Spanish educational materials, especially curriculum, instructional content, or assessments. Understanding of K–12 educational terminology and instructional language (K–5 preferred but not required). Experience working with editorial style guides or translation glossaries. Comfort using digital editing tools (Google Suite, Word, Adobe PDF markup tools, etc.).
