We are seeking exceptional talent across the board to join us in our exciting growth journey.For more about Group Bayport, please visitWebsite: Manager – Payroll SpecialistLocation: Gandhinagar About the RoleThe Manager – Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations for plant employees, including on-roll, shift-based workforce, and contract manpower. This role requires strong expertise in statutory compliance within a manufacturing setup and close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll OperationsManage and process monthly payroll for plant employees including workers, staff, and contract manpower. Validate attendance inputs such as biometric records, shifts, overtime (OT), night allowances, production incentives, and leave records. Ensure accurate wage calculations as per minimum wages, overtime norms, and factory compliance requirements. Handle full & final settlements, gratuity calculations, and leave encashment. Coordinate with contractors for wage validation and compliance adherence. Statutory Compliance (Manufacturing Specific)Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, LWF, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, and other applicable labor laws. Maintain statutory registers and records under the Factories Act and CLRA Act. Support labor inspections and statutory audits by preparing payroll documentation. Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and challans. Plant CoordinationCollaborate with Production, Time Office, and Security teams for attendance reconciliation. Work closely with Finance for salary processing, disbursement, and accounting entries. Resolve payroll-related queries and grievances of employees and workmen. Reporting & MISPrepare and analyze payroll MIS including headcount, overtime trends, absenteeism, and manpower cost. Generate monthly dashboards for Plant HR and Plant Leadership. Drive data accuracy and provide actionable insights for workforce cost optimization. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Commerce, HR, or Finance. 4–8 years of payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment. Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance applicable to factories. Experience handling payroll for contract manpower. Hands-on experience with HRMS tools such as Keka, Spine, SAP, or similar systems. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation).
