Job Description – Quality Manager (Manufacturing, NPD, Exports & Audits)Position Title: Quality ManagerLocation: Noida / Greater NoidaReporting To: Plant Head / Business HeadIndustry: Precision Manufacturing & AssembliesAbout the OrganizationWe are a precision manufacturing organization engaged in CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Stamping, and Product Assembly, with critical processes managed through qualified third-party suppliers (Anodizing, Electroplating, Powder Coating, Welding, etc.).We work extensively with American, Japanese, and Korean customers, where audit discipline, compliance rigor, and execution maturity are mandatory.Role PurposeTo lead end-to-end Quality Management, covering manufacturing quality, NPD, export compliance, overseas customer interface, and management systems. The role requires a hands-on quality leader with strong audit exposure and customer-facing confidence.Key Responsibilities1. Manufacturing & Shop-Floor QualityLead quality operations across CNC machining, sheet metal stamping, and assembliesEnsure implementation and adherence to control plans, SOPs, and inspection standardsDrive reduction in rejection, rework, and customer complaintsEnsure measurement system discipline and process capability2. NPD / New Product Development QualityOwn quality deliverables from drawing freeze to SOPSupport APQP, PFMEA / DFMEA, process validation, and risk mitigationManage PPAP, FAI, and customer submission approvalsParticipate in cross-functional and customer gate reviews3. Metrology & CalibrationHands-on exposure to:Mechanical Measuring InstrumentsCMMVMMRoundness TesterPlating Thickness MeterOwn calibration planning, execution, compliance, and audit readinessEngineering Drawing Understanding4. Audits & Management SystemsLead implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of:ISO 9001 – Quality Management SystemISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management SystemIATF 16949 (preferred / exposure-based)Act as internal auditor / lead auditor for QMS and OHSMSDrive closure of audit findings, corrective actions, and system improvementsLead customer, third-party, and certification audits (on-site & virtual)5. Overseas Customer & Export QualityAct as primary quality interface for American, Japanese, and Korean customersLead virtual customer meetings, technical reviews, and escalation callsPresent audit outcomes, 8D reports, and corrective action plansSupport export-oriented documentation, traceability, and compliance expectations6. Supplier Quality ManagementManage supplier quality for outsourced processesConduct supplier audits and capability assessmentsDrive corrective actions and continuous improvement at supplier end7. Problem Solving & Continuous ImprovementLead structured problem solving using 8D, RCCA, CAPAApply Six Sigma / Lean tools for defect reduction and process improvementTrack effectiveness and prevent recurrence through system controls8. Team Leadership & TrainingLead, mentor, and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and operatorsConduct training on quality tools, audit requirements, and customer standardsBuild execution discipline and accountability culture9.
