Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Quality Assurance in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company’s goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location.Job Location: Devanahalli, BangaloreThis is a 5-day, in-office role, with the 1st and last Saturdays of each month as working days. Please apply if you are comfortable with this schedule.Job Summary:We are looking for a Scanning Electron Microscope Expert who operates, maintains, and calibrates SEM-EDS instruments to analyze material microstructures, surface composition, and morphology at high magnification. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing complex samples such as powders, multi-layer thin films, composites (coating, polishing, etching), interpret high-resolution images, and troubleshoot equipment to support failure analysis and quality control in lithium-ion cell manufacturing giga plant.Key Responsibilities:Sample Preparation for SEM: Prepare diverse samples using techniques such as cleaning, mounting, and suppering.Sample preparation for ion milling includes handling a wide range of materials, such as powders like graphite, SiOx, NMC, and LFP, as well as film‑type samples including separators, electrode–separator interfaces, SEI‑bearing anodes, and related multilayer structures.”Imaging & Analysis: Operate SEM instrument to capture high-resolution images and perform EDS/compositional analysis.Understand microstructural details and interpret the results with respect to the standardsAnalyse the data and make meaningful conclusions based on scientific theory and corelation with other resultsPrepare reports that explain the linkage between the raw material properties and performanceEquipment Maintenance: Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on electron microscopes and related accessories (vacuum systems, detectors)Lab Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, manage consumable inventory, and ensure lab cleanlinessPrior experience in SEM-EDS analysis of lithium-ion cells is a plus.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering/science preferably Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical etc., OR Chemistry / Materials Science.Software Skills: Proficiency in image analysis software and data management systems.Strong knowledge of measurement systems, material properties, analytical techniquesProblem Solving skills and data analysis capability are mandatoryFamiliarity with battery manufacturing processes and materials.Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of electron optics, vacuum technology, and EDS/EBSD techniquesExcellent communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to work in shifts and weekends
