SAP SOM Data Migration ConsultantLocation: RemoteEmployment Type: Full-time with clientShift time: Indian shift (10 to 7 pm IST)EXP: 10+ YearsJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced SAP SOM (Subscription Order Management) Data Migration Consultant with 8+ years of SAP experience, including strong expertise in data migration strategies, tools, and execution within SAP SOM / BRIM landscapes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end data migration activities for SAP SOM implementations and rolloutsAnalyze legacy systems and define data migration strategy, approach, and architecturePerform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for SOM objects such as:Business PartnersSubscription ContractsMaster Data & Transactional DataDesign and execute data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processesWork with functional teams to understand SOM/BRIM data models and business rulesDevelop and execute migration cycles (mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover)Ensure data quality, integrity, and audit compliance throughout migration lifecycleIdentify and resolve data-related issues and inconsistenciesCollaborate with technical teams on LSMW, BODS, Migration Cockpit, or custom toolsSupport cutover planning and go-live activitiesPrepare and maintain documentation, data migration runbooks, and reconciliation reportsRequired Skills & Qualifications8+ years of SAP experience with at least 2–3 full lifecycle implementationsStrong experience in SAP SOM / BRIM (Subscription Order Management)Hands-on expertise in data migration tools, such as:SAP Data Services (BODS)LSMW / Migration CockpitCustom ETL toolsDeep understanding of:SAP SOM data structuresSubscription lifecycle and order management processesStrong SQL and data analysis skillsFamiliarity with S/4HANA environmentsKnowledge of integration points with SAP CI, FICA, SD, and CRMExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in SAP BRIM implementations (Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing)Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworksExposure to Agile/Scrum methodologiesSAP certification in relevant modules (preferred)Soft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with strong documentation skillsAbility to handle tight deadlines and multiple prioritiesNice to HaveExperience in FinTech (Financial Technology) domain, especially subscription-based or billing platformsHands-on experience with SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) componentsExperience in telecom, utilities, or subscription-based industriesExposure to cloud-based SAP solutionsBasic ABAP debugging knowledge
