The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Ab Initio (GDE, Plans) along with good knowledge of PL/SQL and scripting using Python. The role involves working on complex data pipelines, performance optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Ab Initio graphs for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processesDevelop and optimize data processing workflows using Ab Initio GDE and PlansWrite efficient and reusable Python scripts for automation, data processing, and integration tasksWork with large datasets and ensure high performance and scalability of ETL jobsDevelop and optimize PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objectsPerform data validation, data quality checks, and troubleshooting of ETL pipelinesCollaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutionsEnsure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and data governance policiesMonitor and support production jobs, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issuesRoles & ResponsibilitiesIndependently develop and enhance Ab Initio ETL pipelines with minimal supervisionParticipate in requirement analysis, design discussions, and solutioningOptimize existing Ab Initio graphs for performance and efficiencyHandle debugging and performance tuning of ETL jobs and SQL queriesContribute to automation using Python for repetitive data tasks and monitoringSupport deployment activities and CI/CD processes for data pipelinesWork closely with junior developers and provide technical guidance when requiredEnsure timely delivery of assigned tasks with high qualityActively participate in incident management and production supportRequired Qualifications4 to 8 years of experience in Ab Initio developmentStrong hands-on experience with Ab Initio GDE, Plans, and ETL developmentProficiency in Python scriptingGood knowledge of PL/SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood to HaveExperience with Unix/Linux scriptingExposure to data quality and data governance frameworksExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsSoft SkillsGood communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and in a teamStrong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
