Job Description

Key Responsibility - Prepare and process Purchase Orders and Sales Orders accurately in SAP.SAP ExposureChemical, Paints, FMCGProcurement of local as well as Import purchase of Extenders, Driers, Zinc, Additives, Biocides, special chemicals and Pigments for all KNPL plants and outside processing centers across India.Major considerations: Optimizing inventory as per seasonal requirements. Total RM’s more than 200, Spent - 200crSupplier Portal: In charge of KNPL supplier portal initiative for improved supply chain drive. Incorporating new developments and training to suppliers. Handling of day-to-day activities of supplier portal.System Improvements: SAP Improvements and suggestions for RFQ through supplier portal as a link between SAP and Supplier-Buyer. Participation in Kaizen drive. Ariba Auctions for Dries and chromes.Knowledge Management Champion for supplier database and its maintenance for purchase department.Develop and maintain import and local cost sheets in SAPAnalyze and propose equivalent replacements for obsolete materials with technical approvalPrepare RFQs, float enquiries against PRs, and ensure complete pricing detailsCreate comparative statements and support management in vendor rate finalizationConvert PRs to POs and ensure timely material delivery through close follow-upCoordinate with CHA for import clearance from port to plantAddress vendor-related issues including rejections, payments, and complianceIdentify, evaluate, and develop new vendors to improve cost, quality, and deliveryCoordinate with plant, technical, and QA teams to resolve supply and quality issuesEnsure CAPA implementation for rejected materials and manage continuous quality issuesMaintain vendor documentation including ISO certificationsEnsure business allocation as per approved guidelines and authority approvalsMaintain optimum inventory levels as per management directivesPrepare regular MIS reports for monitoring and controlEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable lawsMaintain proper documentation and records for imported materialsQualification: Any Graduate, MBA/PGDM preferred Experience: 5+ Years
