The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architectures, enabling advanced analytics, and supporting critical decision-making across credit card portfolios. This role requires relocation to Sri Lanka.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement enterprise-scale data architecture for banking and credit card systemsBuild and optimize data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses to support analytics and reportingWork closely with business stakeholders to understand credit card lifecycle, risk, and transaction data requirementsEnable data-driven decision-making across areas such as credit risk, fraud detection, and customer analyticsDefine and enforce best practices in data governance, security, and compliance (aligned with banking regulations)Lead the integration of multiple data sources including core banking systems, card systems, and third-party platformsEnsure high availability, scalability, and performance of data platformsCollaborate with data engineers, analysts, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end solutionsMentor technical teams and provide architectural guidanceRequirements & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 8–12 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data ArchitectureStrong experience in the banking domain, with specific exposure to credit cards (mandatory)Expertise in designing data lakes, data warehouses, and large-scale data platformsHands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or ScalaExperience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop ecosystem)Deep understanding of credit card data flows, transactions, underwriting, and risk analyticsKnowledge of data governance, compliance, and security standards in BFSIExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsKey CompetenciesData architecture & solution designDomain expertise in banking & credit cardsStrategic thinking & problem-solvingLeadership & team mentorshipPerformance optimization & scalabilityBenefitsAttractive salary packageRelocation support providedOpportunity to work on large-scale banking data platformsCareer growth in a dynamic BFSI environment
