Role1. Vehicle Placement & SchedulingCoordinate with transport vendors for timely placement of vehicles as per dispatch schedules.Track and ensure on-time arrival of vehicles at pickup points.Maintain a vehicle placement tracker for daily/weekly monitoring.2. Coordination with StakeholdersConnect with warehouse teams, vendors, and transporters for smooth handovers and loading/unloading.Resolve in-transit issues such as delays, route changes, or vehicle breakdowns.Maintain clear communication with internal teams regarding shipment status.3. Deliveries to WarehousesPlan & monitor appointment deliveries to all designated warehouses pan-India.Ensure POD (Proof of Delivery) collection and timely submission.Track performance metrics like TAT (Turnaround Time), OTD (On-Time Delivery), and loss/damage incidents.4. Cost Comparison & OptimizationCollect and compare freight quotes from multiple transport vendors.Prepare cost analysis reports to support vendor selection.Negotiate rates and service terms with transport partners for cost efficiency.Maintain updated vendor rate cards for different lanes/zones.5. Documentation & ComplianceVerify and maintain all transport invoices, LR (Lorry Receipts), and statutory documents.Ensure compliance with state-wise transit regulations (E-way bills, permits, etc.).Maintain MIS reports for monthly cost, delivery performance, and vendor compliance.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Vehicle Placement Rate (on-time placement %)On-Time Delivery (OTD) %Cost per Shipment vs. budgetTransit Damage/Loss RatePOD submission timelineSkills & Qualifications:Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).3–5 years experience in domestic logistics or transportation management.Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.Proficiency in Excel and logistics management software (TMS/WMS).Good knowledge of India’s transport network & regulations.Problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
