Job Description - 3D Printing Intern Department: R&D / Product Development Location: PuneDuration: 3-6 MonthsAbout the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on 3D Printing Intern to support prototyping and product development activities. The role involves working with FDM and SLA 3D printers to produce prototypes using materials such as TPU, PLA, ABS, and Resin, along with printer setup, troubleshooting, and post­ processing.Key Responsibilities 3D Printing Operations• Operate FDM and SLA 3D printers• Prepare and slice models using slicer software (Cura, Creality, PrusaSlicer, etc.)• Configure print settings and monitor print jobsTroubleshooting & Optimization• Diagnose and resolve common issues such as warping, stringing, adhesion failure, and layer shifting• Troubleshoot nozzle clogging, bed leveling, extrusion, and resin curing issues• Optimize supports, orientation, and print parameters Material Handling• Work with PLA, ABS, TPU, and photopolymer resins• Ensure proper material selection, storage, and safe handling Prototype Development & Maintenance• Produce prototypes from CAD/STL files• Perform post-processing (cleaning, curing, sanding, finishing)• Assist with printer calibration, maintenance, and workflow improvement Preferred Qualifications• Diploma/ B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Product Design• Basic hands-on experience with 3D printers and slicer software Key Traits• Hands-on and detail-oriented• Strong troubleshooting mindset• Interest in additive manufacturing and prototypingInterested candidates can share their CV on
