Skill: Abinitio+ Python Experience: 4 to 8 years Location: Mumbai /Pune/Chennai/Bangalore Interview Process: LTI internal Round, Client Round + Karat Test Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Ab Initio Developer with strong Python expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Ab Initio (GDE, Plans) along with good knowledge of PL/SQL and scripting using Python. The role involves working on complex data pipelines, performance optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Ab Initio graphs for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Ab Initio GDE and Plans Write efficient and reusable Python scripts for automation, data processing, and integration tasks Work with large datasets and ensure high performance and scalability of ETL jobs Develop and optimize PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects Perform data validation, data quality checks, and troubleshooting of ETL pipelines Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and data governance policies Monitor and support production jobs, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues Roles & Responsibilities Independently develop and enhance Ab Initio ETL pipelines with minimal supervision Participate in requirement analysis, design discussions, and solutioning Optimize existing Ab Initio graphs for performance and efficiency Handle debugging and performance tuning of ETL jobs and SQL queries Contribute to automation using Python for repetitive data tasks and monitoring Support deployment activities and CI/CD processes for data pipelines Work closely with junior developers and provide technical guidance when required Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks with high quality Actively participate in incident management and production support Required Qualifications 4 to 8 years of experience in Ab Initio development Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio GDE, Plans, and ETL development Proficiency in Python scripting Good knowledge of PL/SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good to Have Experience with Unix/Linux scripting Exposure to data quality and data governance frameworks Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Soft Skills Good communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and in a team Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
