You will act as a business enabler and risk controller, ensuring that all functions operate within regulatory frameworks while supporting growth.Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance OwnershipOwn and manage a centralized compliance tracker across all functionsEnsure adherence to:Legal Metrology (packaging, labeling, website, cartons)HR compliances (Shops & Establishment, PF, ESIC, PT, POSH)Secretarial compliances (MCA filings, board-related requirements)GST and taxation regulationsMarketing and advertising compliance (Meta, Amazon, website claims)Insurance and statutory registrationsConduct regular compliance audits, identify gaps, and drive complete closureProactively highlight risk areas and non-compliance issues to leadershipIP & Brand ProtectionLead trademark filings, renewals, oppositions, and enforcement actionsMonitor and act against IP infringements across marketplaces and digital platformsDevelop and strengthen long-term IP strategy aligned with brand growthCustoms & Import ComplianceOversee compliance under the Customs Act for all importsEnsure:Correct HSN classificationAccurate and complete documentationSmooth customs clearance processesTrack and drive resolution of ongoing legal/customs casesStay updated with regulatory changes, certifications, and notificationsRisk MitigationIdentify legal and regulatory risks across operationsDesign and implement preventive frameworks, SOPs, and controlsPartner with internal teams to minimize exposureLegal Contracts & AdvisoryDraft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and partnersProvide timely legal advice (within defined TATs) to internal stakeholdersEnsure company interests are fully protected in all agreementsNetworks & TechnologyBuild and manage a network of external legal experts and consultantsValidate external opinions and ensure cost-effective engagementImplement legal tech/tools to improve tracking and efficiencyKey RequirementsLLB/LLM4–7 years of experience in legal & compliance rolesStrong exposure to D2C, e-commerce, imports, or manufacturing setupsAbility to independently drive ownership and work cross-functionallySuccess IndicatorsZero compliance breaches and strong audit readinessComplete visibility and closure of compliance gapsEffective IP protection and enforcement actionsStrong legal advisory with quick turnaroundSmooth handling of customs and regulatory matters
