The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier development (domestic & international), cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, and planning teams to ensure uninterrupted production and competitive BOM costs.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & ProcurementLead end-to-end procurement of raw materials for ARACT from domestic and international suppliersDevelop sourcing strategies for critical Li-Ion battery raw materials (Cathode, Anode, Electrolyte, Separator, Chemicals, Metals, etc.)Ensure timely availability of materials aligned with production and project timelinesManage procurement planning and execution based on demand forecastsVendor Development & ManagementOnboard existing vendors (license partners) into ARACT ecosystem including V-code creation, negotiations, contracting, and PO releaseScout and develop additional vendors (local & global) through market surveys and supplier evaluationLead commercial negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance managementFollow up with suppliers to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and quality requirementsCost Optimization & Commodity ManagementDrive BOM cost target achievement through strategic sourcing and cost optimization initiativesMonitor RM indexation for key commodities (Lithium, Nickel, Cobalt, Graphite, Copper, Aluminum, etc.)Track global commodity trends and implement cost reduction strategiesIdentify alternate sources and materials for cost efficiencyCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with R&D for material sampling, validation, and evaluationEnsure timely sample approvals and supplier capacity ramp-upCollaborate with production, planning, quality, and finance teams for smooth operationsSystems & Process ManagementHandle ERP and VMS systems for procurement and supplier managementAct as supplier mentor and escalation point for all raw material requirementsEnsure timely documentation and proactive procurement planningImplement best procurement practices and continuous process improvementsKey Skills & CompetenciesStrategic sourcing & global procurementLi-Ion battery raw material knowledgeVendor development & supplier managementCommercial negotiations & contractingCommodity tracking & cost optimizationERP / VMS systemsStrong stakeholder managementPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s / Master’s in Engineering / Supply Chain / Materials / Procurement8–12+ years of experience in procurement (In Li-Ion / Battery )Experience in global sourcing and supplier development
