Required Technical Skill Set - Should Costing, VAVE, Supplier negotiations Desired Experience - 6-12 years Location of Requirement - Bangalore / Pune Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)- · Education (BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech)– Mechanical/Production Engineering · Should costing experience in Heavy Manufacturing Industry OR Consulting Industry · Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and technical specifications · Hands-on experience on Should Cost estimation using excel based tools or tools like DFM Boothroyd, aPriori, TCPCM. Understanding of CAD Tools (such as UG, CATIA, Pro/E). · Expertise in Manufacturing and Assembly process planning along with In-depth knowledge on Time Estimation for various manufacturing related tasks. · In depth knowledge on Product Costing Methodology, Industrial engineering practices, Manufacturing Engineering practices etc. · Detailed knowledge on industry materials costing, machine rates, operations and processes such as Stamping, Fabrication, Machining, Forging, Casting, Injection molding etc. and process tooling · Detailed understanding of welding processes & surface coating processes · Hands on experience in Value Engineering / Value Analysis. Certified Value Engineer · Global Supplier market intelligence · Ability to interact with internal / external customers on a regular basis · Good communication skills in English. Good-to-Have- · Knowledge of Engineering industry viz. Stamping, Fabrication, Machining, Forging, Casting · Any certification in welding is preferred · Teamwork and Collaboration. Participating and leading cross organizational teams · Problem Solving & Effective Conflict/Tension resolution. Customer Service. Decision-making. Influencing. Meeting deadlines. · Ability to work Effectively with an Overview of Business Direction and Technical Direction · Ability to Program Manage Multiple Technical projects. Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role- 1 · Responsible for costing various commodities like Stamping, Fabrication, Machining, Forging, Casting parts · Responsible for costing process tooling, welding & surface coating processes · Understand drawings 2D, 3D models · Tear down of the assemblies / products if required · Creation of BOM · Net surfing to understand / acquire market information on various attributes like labor / process / material etc. · Interact with suppliers / industry experts to get market knowledge · Program management · Create and maintain cost models · Collaboration with customers and suppliers 2 · Learning & development · To keep updated with the latest trend in global sourcing like price trends, capacities, processes etc. · Knowledge of manufacturing processes and special processes like Heat treatment, secondary processes, welding and so on.
