Job Description: A. Assessment & Discovery • Inventory all servers and workloads • Identify OS versions, roles, and dependencies • Assess hardware and virtualization compatibility • Identify risks, constraints, and upgrade blockers B. Design & Planning • Define upgrade strategy (in-place vs. migration) • Develop target architecture • Create migration, rollback, and backup plans • Recommend security enhancements C. Implementation • Perform OS upgrades or migrations to Windows Server 2022 • Migrate server roles (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, IIS, File Services) • Validate and upgrade applications where required • Apply latest patches and updates D. Testing & Validation • Functional and integration testing • Performance validation • Security validation • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) E. Cutover & Go-Live • Execute production rollout • Minimize downtime and business disruption • Provide rollback support if required F. Post-Implementation Support • Provide hyper care support (minimum 2 weeks) • Resolve issues and optimize performance
