Overview: Position Summary: In Food Can, the role of Financial Accountant involves supporting the finance team across various functions, including accounts payable, financial reporting, budget management, and ad hoc financial tasks. This multifaceted position is crucial for ensuring high-quality data integrity and providing essential support to optimize the financial efficiency of operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and insights that support strategic decision-making within the division. Assist in the preparation of management reports, providing clear and actionable financial insights to senior management. Assist in ad hoc business case analysis and projects. Compliance and Audit Coordination: Ensure all financial activities adhere to internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
