Position: Flight Sciences LeadExp- 15+ years Location; Bangalore Position SummaryThe Flight Sciences Lead owns the aerodynamic, loads, dynamics, handling qualities, and acoustic analysis for the Jaunt Cargo hybrid VTOL aircraft across hover, transition, and cruise. This role provides the analytical and simulation foundation supporting flight controls, structures, propulsion integration, flight test, and certification.Key ResponsibilitiesLead flight sciences activities across design, testing, and certificationOwn aerodynamic modeling for hover, transition, cruise, and rotor–wing–propulsor interactionsLead rotor dynamics and aeromechanics analyses, including performance, stability, vibration, and aeroelasticityDefine aircraft load cases in coordination with structures and propulsion teamsDevelop handling qualities criteria and metrics for piloted and remote operationsSupport control law development with flight dynamics models, stability analysis, and gain scheduling dataLead external and internal acoustic analysis, including community noise considerationsDevelop and maintain high‑fidelity simulation environments (aero, dynamics, pilot/operator‑in‑the‑loop)Support flight test planning, envelope expansion, data reduction, and model correlationContribute to certification artifacts for handling qualities, loads, stability & control, and acousticsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline15+ years total engineering experience, including 5+ years in flight sciences, aerodynamics, or vehicle dynamicsExperience with rotorcraft or VTOL aerodynamics, rotor dynamics, handling qualities, or flight dynamicsExperience supporting flight test and correlating analytical models to flight dataFamiliarity with certification‑related flight sciences analyses preferred
