What You’ll Be Doing (Position Summary): The QE Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of quality engineering and software testing for assigned projects or initiatives This role ensures rigorous adherence to QA/QE standards, manages testing teams, and drives the implementation of automation and innovative solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness The QE Coordinator adds value by providing technical leadership, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies. How You’ll Succeed (Responsibilities): Testing Coordination & Execution: Develop, publish, and execute test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, status reports, defect and exit reports. Identify and obtain testing prerequisites, required test data and test environments. Track and report QA/QE metrics and KPIs such as velocity, defect slippage, etc. Defect & Compliance Management: Manage defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. Identify, manage, and implement remediation for any noncompliance items and deviations. Ensure adherence to QA/QE standards and support the implementation of new standards. Recognize and identify areas for process, policy, or tool improvement. Technical Leadership: Provide input, feedback, and challenge to technical designs and assess impacts to testing. Identify and implement automation, AI, or other emerging solutions to expedite testing and improve quality. Actively participate on the adoption of automation frameworks and tools. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Collaborates with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project objectives. Works closely with development teams to provide feedback on technical designs and assess testing impacts. Interacts with external vendors and tool providers to evaluate and integrate testing solutions. Partners with other QA/QE professionals across the organization to share best practices and drive continuous improvement. As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. JOB DIMENSIONS: Responsible for the delivery of testing services for assigned projects/initiatives, supporting retail banking applications middle-tier/shared-platforms and upstream/downstream integrations. Provides technical and process leadership to ensure quality standards are met. Supports achievement of business unit goals through effective quality engineering and testing practices. Experience: 3+ years of experience. Who You Are (Skills / Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field. Banking applications middle-tier/shared-platforms and upstream/downstream integrations (core banking systems, client messaging, targeted customer marketing, product offering systems), API/Webservices REST and SOAP, DB SQL/non-SQL, and Batch testing automation. Must Have Skills: 3+ years of experience in QA/QE, 1–3 years of experience in development or API automation testing. Proficiency with Web Services SOAP and API REST testing or development. Experience with API testing automation tools (eg SOAP UI, Postman, PARASOFT SOA). Testing or development experience with Databases and SQL. Testing or development experience in programming languages. Experience with Test Management and version control tools (eg, GIT, Jira, Confluence, ALM, etc). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Quality management and assurance expertise. Good to have Skills: Experience in testing middle-tier/shared-platforms applications and upstream/downstream integrations. Experience with Parasoft SOA, Postman API testing tools building packages for automated data driven testing. Knowledge with XML, XPATH, WSDL, JSON. Experience in Batch testing or development, Unix environments. Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python with a strong preference using these languages to automate RestAPI, SOAP web services testing. Knowledge of network and Security Protocols, SSL, SAML. Db/SQL Knowledge - Experience with Oracle, Azure, Mongo and tools like DB Visualizer, SQL Server, TOAD. Experience with SMS messaging testing tool (Perfecto) and/or other mobile messaging validation testing tools. Experience with Solace, MQs and MQ Tools – eg MQ Visual Edit.
