Hybrid Power & Energy Systems LeadExp-15 + yrsLocation; BangalorePosition SummaryThe Hybrid Power & Energy Systems Lead is responsible for the architecture, integration, and certification support of Jaunt’s hybrid‑electric energy system. This role owns the battery system, ICE generator integration, power electronics, and energy management strategy supporting VTOL, transition, and extended‑range cruise operations.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect the hybrid‑electric energy system, including batteries, ICE generator, and power electronicsDefine operating modes and energy management strategies across all flight phasesLead battery system design and supplier integration, ensuring safety, thermal control, and certification complianceIntegrate ICE generator systems, power conversion hardware, and control interfacesOwn system‑level power management, fault tolerance, redundancy, and emergency power conceptsDesign and integrate high‑ and low‑voltage electrical architectures and protection strategiesSupport integration of motors, controllers, contactors, converters, and SSPCsPerform electrical load, power quality, and thermal analysesSupport hardware qualification, EMI/EMC compliance, testing, and certification artifactsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline15+ years total engineering experience, including 5+ years in hybrid‑electric, battery, or aircraft power systemsStrong experience with high‑voltage systems, battery integration, and power electronicsPrior aerospace or advanced vehicle program experience strongly preferred
