Looking for CMDB Engineers 5+ Experience Bangalore LocationMandatory Skill set - CMDB , ITSM , ITOM , Discovery , ServicenowConfiguration Management Database (CMDB): Maintain and manage the CMDB, ensuring that all configuration items (CIs) are accurately recorded, updated, and tracked throughout their lifecycle.ServiceNow Tool: Utilize ServiceNow for effective management of CMDB and related ITIL processes, ensuring data integrity and consistency.ITIL Process Implementation: Implement and enforce ITIL best practices across configuration management processes, ensuring compliance with Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management processes.Configuration Management: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all configuration items (CIs) are properly defined, categorized, and aligned with business needs and service requirements.Database Management: Oversee and manage database structures related to configuration management, ensuring accurate storage and retrieval of configuration data.Service Management: Ensure smooth coordination between different IT functions using ServiceNow and other tools, ensuring that service management processes such as incident management, change management, and service request fulfillment are seamlessly integrated.Audit & Compliance: Conduct regular audits of the CMDB and configuration items to ensure that data accuracy and compliance standards are maintained.Automation & Reporting: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and automated workflows to improve efficiency and visibility in the CMDB and configuration management processes.Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, such as Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management, to ensure that the CMDB is leveraged effectively across service delivery functions.Documentation & Training: Document configuration management processes and provide training to relevant teams on best practices and the proper use of the CMDB and related tools.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience with CMDB tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar platforms.Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly Configuration Management, and a solid understanding of the ITIL framework.Proficiency in database management and maintaining accurate records of configuration items in CMDB.Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools for managing configuration management processes.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies in the CMDB.Ability to work cross-functionally with IT service management teams to implement and maintain ITIL best practices.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain configuration management concepts and processes.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.Strong understanding of configuration management processes and their role in overall IT service delivery.
