Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Raw Material Purchase Manager to manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials used in Fish Feed, Poultry Feed, and Cattle Feed production. The role focuses on sourcing high-quality materials at competitive prices, developing reliable vendor networks, ensuring uninterrupted supply, and optimizing procurement cost while minimizing risk. The candidate should have strong market knowledge of feed raw materials and experience in handling procurement operations within oil, food processing, chemical, or feed manufacturing industries. Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement Management • Manage complete sourcing and procurement activities for feed raw materials • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendor networks • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit period, and contracts • Plan short-term and seasonal procurement strategies • Ensure timely availability of raw materials for production 2. Raw Material Knowledge – Feed Industry Fish Feed • Knowledge of fish meal, soybean meal, maize, rice bran, and feed additives • Understanding of protein %, freshness, and contamination risks • Awareness of quality parameters affecting fish growth performance Poultry Feed • Knowledge of maize, DORB, soybean meal, vitamins, and minerals • Understanding of digestibility, protein content, and moisture levels Cattle Feed • Knowledge of oil cakes, bran, maize, and other nutritional ingredients • Understanding of fiber, protein, and energy balance 3. Quality Evaluation • Assess quality parameters such as moisture %, protein %, oil content, impurities • Identify adulteration risks and supplier quality issues • Ensure compliance with FSSAI, AGMARK, or industry standards • Coordinate with quality team for inspection and approval 4. Price Analysis & Market Intelligence • Track mandi prices and commodity market trends • Monitor seasonal price fluctuations and demand-supply patterns • Analyze price trends of oilseeds, grains, and feed ingredients • Take strategic purchase decisions based on market insights 5. Supply Chain & Logistics Management • Plan transportation through road or bulk movement • Coordinate with plant, warehouse, and logistics teams • Minimize transit losses and delivery delays • Ensure timely material availability at plant location 6. Vendor Management • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships • Evaluate vendor performance regularly • Maintain multiple suppliers to reduce dependency risk • Conduct supplier visits and build long-term partnerships 7. Cost Optimization & Negotiation • Negotiate bulk purchase deals for cost savings • Optimize logistics and freight costs • Manage working capital through credit terms • Balance contract purchase and spot purchase strategy 8. Inventory Planning • Plan stock based on production forecast • Maintain safety stock or buffer stock levels • Avoid overstocking and material spoilage • Ensure uninterrupted supply for plant operations 9. ERP & Digital Systems • Use ERP systems (SAP or similar) for procurement activities • Maintain purchase records and documentation • Use Excel for price comparison and cost tracking • Prepare procurement reports and vendor analysis 10. Compliance & Documentation • Manage Purchase Orders (PO), GRN, invoices, and records • Ensure GST compliance and audit readiness • Maintain proper documentation for traceability • Support internal and external audits 11. Risk Management • Manage risks related to price fluctuations and supply disruptions • Identify alternate suppliers for critical raw materials • Monitor crop conditions and seasonal risks • Ensure continuity of supply during uncertainty 12.
