The company has carved out a significant niche in the education sector by focusing on experiential learning—specifically through Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and comprehensive STEM-based programs.Role OverviewAs the Purchase Manager, you will be the core driver of our procurement strategy. You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality electronic components, robotics hardware, and STEM materials at competitive prices. You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure a seamless supply of raw materials (such as microcontrollers, sensors, motors, and structural parts) to keep our production schedules on track.This is a full-time, on-site role based at our office in Sethi Colony (Near Raja Park), Jaipur.Key Responsibilities1. Sourcing & Vendor ManagementIdentify, evaluate, and onboard reliable domestic and international suppliers for electronic components (microcontrollers like Arduino/ESP/Raspberry Pi, sensors, jumper wires, breadboards, motors, etc.) and general STEM materials.Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors, manufacturers, and distributors in the electronics and Ed-Tech hardware space.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize the Bill of Materials (BOM) cost without compromising on quality.2. Procurement & Supply Chain OperationsManage the end-to-end purchase cycle: from raising Purchase Orders (POs) and tracking shipments to ensuring timely delivery at the warehouse.Collaborate closely with the production and program management teams to forecast material requirements for large-scale educational rollouts and kit manufacturing.Monitor stock levels to prevent stockouts of critical electronic components and manage lead times effectively.3. Quality Assurance & ComplianceWork with the technical team to ensure all sourced electronics, sensors, and hardware meet the required technical specifications and safety standards.Address and resolve any issues related to defective parts, component replacements, or vendor discrepancies.4. Budgeting & ReportingTrack and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve procurement effectiveness.Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor contracts in the company’s ERP/accounting software.Candidate ProfileExperience: Minimum 3 to 4 years of proven experience as a Purchase Manager, Procurement Executive, or Sourcing Specialist.Industry Experience: Must have a background in Ed-Tech (Hardware/Robotics), Electronics Manufacturing, or Consumer Electronics where the procurement of microcontrollers, sensors, PCBs, and mechanical parts was a primary responsibility.Core Skills:Strong technical understanding of basic electronic components, embedded systems hardware, and STEM/DIY materials.Excellent negotiation, networking, and vendor management skills.Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.Attributes: Highly analytical, detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced hardware production environment.
