About the jobRole Description - Recruitment Coordinator (India and Onshore) | Southern Cross University (SCU), Gold Coast, Lismore and Coffs Harbour | India | Full-TimeThe Recruitment Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening Southern Cross University’s (SCU) recruitment efforts, enhancing brand visibility, and supporting the student experience across key campuses. While regional teams and partners lead student recruitment and pipeline development across India and onshore markets, this role strengthens those efforts by coordinating SCU-aligned marketing activities, supporting prospective student engagement, and ensuring a strong and consistent Southern Cross University presence across key locations.The position enhances collaboration between Southern Cross University, in-country representatives, institutional partners, and key stakeholders. It contributes to brand awareness, supports recruitment initiatives, and provides hands-on engagement with both prospective and current SCU students across India and onshore cohorts. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, relationship-building capability, and a proactive approach to partnership development and marketing support.Be the architect of the bold new international visionKey ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong working relationships with SCU’s recruitment agents across India.Provide ongoing support and guidance to agents, including assistance with applications, documentation, and issue resolution.Support prospective students through the onshore and offshore application process to ensure accurate and timely submissions.Coordinate engagement with agents and students across the recruitment cycle to support enquiry-to-enrolment conversion.Assist in tracking recruitment targets and monitoring application and conversion performance.Prepare regular reports on pipeline activity, applications, and enrolments.Collect and share market insights, including competitor activity and student feedback.Coordinate SCU participation in recruitment events such as seminars, education fairs, and exhibitions.Support delivery of agent training sessions and marketing initiatives for new programs.Ensure all activities align with SCU brand guidelines and support compliance with regulatory requirements (National Code).Maintain accurate records of agent interactions and recruitment activities in line with university processes.Monitor outstanding applications and follow up to support offer conversion and enrolment outcomes.Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant fieldMinimum 2 years’ experience in the international education sector (Australia market experience preferred)Proficiency in multiple languages, including Nepali, is preferredStrong organisational and time management skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across culturesSelf-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work towards recruitment targetsAbility to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple prioritiesExperience with CRM systems, databases, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectivelyWillingness to undertake frequent local and international travelAdditional Information - Special Work RequirementsStandard working hours with additional working hours may be required for onshore management in the morning.Availability to work weekends based on event schedulesWillingness to travel as required for recruitment activitiesWhy Join Southern Cross University?Southern Cross University is a dynamic and ambitious institution, driven by the purpose of changing lives through revolutionary learning and research with real impact.
