Role: Senior Financial AnalystLocation: Remote in IndiaDuration: 3 month contract to hireWork hours: 2-11 pm India hoursPosition SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic finance partner to FP&A and Technology leadership, driving financial transparency, governance, and cost optimization across the technology portfolio. This role leads end-to-end oversight of internal and external labor financial processes, including contractor/vendor invoice validation, labor rate management, and Opex/Capex classification to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and compliance. Leveraging Apptio and other IT Financial Management tools, the analyst delivers actionable insights that support executive decision-making, operational efficiency, and disciplined financial governance.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Financial Planning & AnalysisServe as a strategic partner to FP&A and Technology leadership to establish labor governance frameworks and deliver budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis that enable transparent reporting, strong financial controls, and aligned technology spend managementProvide monthly and quarterly reporting, variance insights, and scenario modeling to support investment decisions and cost optimizationSupport long-range planning and workforce/vendor financial strategiesLabor Financial Governance (Primary Focus)Own governance of internal and external labor spend across contractors, vendors, and Technology teamsValidate and reconcile vendor invoices, hours, and rates against contracts and approved rate cardsMaintain labor rate benchmarks and identify cost savings opportunitiesPartner with Procurement and Vendor Management on negotiations and renewalsEnsure accurate Opex vs. Capex classification, capitalization eligibility, and audit readinessImplement controls to reduce cost leakage, improve forecast accuracy, and strengthen accountabilityTools, Systems & ReportingManage technology cost transparency and allocations using Apptio (TBM Studio/Cost Transparency) or similar ITFM platformsDevelop automated dashboards and reporting in Power BI and ExcelLeverage Microsoft Power Apps and Power Pages to streamline financial workflows, intake processes, and reporting automationReconcile data across Apptio, ERP, and source systems to ensure financial integrityProject & Portfolio GovernanceSupport project intake, business case evaluation, and financial governance processesTrack and forecast project costs, capitalization, and ROIPartner with Technology, PMO, and Finance leaders to align financial controls with delivery outcomesQualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field5–8+ years of experience in FP&A, IT Finance, or Technology Financial ManagementDirect experience with invoice validation, labor rate management, and Opex/Capex accountingStrong financial modeling, analytical, and reconciliation skillsAdvanced Excel proficiency; experience with Power BI or similar reporting toolsExperience with Apptio or other ITFM platforms strongly preferredExperience leveraging Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Pages, workflow automation) to improve financial processesStrong stakeholder communication skills, governance mindset, and continuous improvement orientationMandatory QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field5–8+ years of experience in FP&A, IT Finance, or Technology Financial ManagementDirect experience with invoice validation, labor rate management, and Opex/Capex accountingStrong financial modeling, analytical, and reconciliation skillsAdvanced Excel proficiency and experience with reporting tools such as Power BIStrong stakeholder communication skills, governance mindset, and continuous improvement orientationPreferred QualificationsExperience with Apptio or other ITFM platformsExperience leveraging Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Pages, workflow automation) to improve financial processes
