Apply if you’re excited by the idea of writing code that truly matters, solving complex data challenges, and shaping the future of digital health.Role DescriptionThis is a backend-focused role where you will design, build, and operate production-grade systems on AWS, working on real features end-to-end—from understanding product requirements and architecting data models to developing robust APIs and ensuring their reliability in live environments. You’ll collaborate closely with web (Angular) and mobile (Flutter) teams to deliver seamless, high-impact features that directly reach users. We’re looking for a high-performing engineer with strong Python expertise, a solid grasp of AWS, and the confidence to independently debug, troubleshoot, and solve complex problems. If you enjoy owning your work, building systems that scale, and seeing your code make a tangible difference, you’ll find this role both challenging and deeply rewarding.What You’ll DoBuild backend services using Python (AWS Lambda, FastAPI-style architecture)Design and evolve data models in PostgreSQL (RDS) using Alembic migrationsBuild and maintain REST and GraphQL APIsWork with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL for data storageCollaborate with Angular (web) and Flutter (mobile) teamsDeploy services using GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelinesWrite and maintain tests (pytest) with Docker-based local environmentsBuild backend support for notifications (email, SMS, push)Work with AWS Bedrock / LLMs for generating reports and insightsProduction Ownership (Important)Debug issues using CloudWatch and application logsInvestigate failures in Lambda, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and database queriesResolve issues independently and ensure system reliabilityYou should be comfortable figuring things out in a live system without constant guidanceQualifications2 - 4 years of work experience as developerBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldStrong Python skills (clean code, debugging, testing)Experience with REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus)Good understanding of SQL and data modeling (PostgreSQL)Working knowledge of AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, RDS/DynamoDB)Experience writing tests (pytest or similar)Familiarity with Git, Pull requests, and CI/CD workflowsStrong problem-solving and debugging abilityExposure to healthcare domain/ FHIR is a big plusNice to HaveExperience with Alembic migrationsDocker-based development environmentsExposure to LLMs / AI APIs (Bedrock, OpenAI, etc.)Understanding of AWS cost optimizationWhy Join vCare?Work on a real healthcare product with direct impactLearn production-grade AWS systems early in your careerHigh ownership — your work goes liveExposure to AI + backend + data systemsSmall team, fast growth, direct impactNote: Please apply only if your skills match the mentioned qualifications.
