Industry icons such as Hemant Trivedi, Manish Malhotra, and Aki Narula began their creative journeys at SDS before launching their own labels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Store Revenue & Sales Performance • Drive overall store revenue and ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly targets • Monitor individual and team sales performance and align with business goals • Focus on high-value couture and bespoke sales, especially wedding and occasion wear • Track and improve Average Order Value (AOV) through complete look selling • Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities and improve conversions • Implement strategies to increase walk-ins, conversions, and ticket size 2. Client Engagement & Luxury Experience • Deliver a highly personalized and premium luxury retail experience to every client • Build and nurture long-term relationships with strong follow-ups and engagement • Understand client lifestyles, occasions, and wardrobe requirements in depth • Personally manage VIP and high-value clients when required • Ensure seamless end-to-end client journeys—from consultation to final delivery • Resolve client concerns with professionalism and discretion 3. Couture & Bespoke Sales Leadership • Lead couture and bespoke sales across the store • Guide clients through complete journeys—from concept, fabric selection, and styling to delivery • Drive sales through strong product knowledge, storytelling, and personalization • Support team in converting high-value clients and closing sales effectively • Ensure achievement of individual and store-level revenue targets 4. Team Leadership & Performance Management • Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to maintain high performance standards • Conduct daily briefings to align the team on targets, priorities, and client handling • Monitor individual performance and provide structured feedback and training • Train team on product knowledge, styling, and luxury client servicing • Maintain discipline, accountability, and strong team culture • Ensure adherence to grooming, behavior, and brand service standards 5. Technical Expertise in Menswear & Tailoring • Maintain in-depth knowledge of menswear categories: sherwanis, bandhgalas, achkans, kurtas, jackets, tuxedos, suits, shirts, and trousers • Demonstrate strong understanding of garment construction including: – Collars, lapels, cuffs, plackets, buttons, darts, seams, hems, and closures – Shirt construction (yokes, pleats, seams) – Trouser construction (waistbands, pleats, hems, closures, side adjusters) • Guide both team and clients on silhouette, proportion, structure, and fit 6. Fabric, Embroidery & Craftsmanship Knowledge • Possess strong expertise in fabrics including composition, weave, texture, and fall • Understand embroidery techniques, surface ornamentation, and finishing standards • Advise clients on fabric and design suitability based on occasion and climate • Stay updated on global textile innovations and craftsmanship trends 7. Measurements, Fittings & Quality Control • Oversee accurate measurement-taking across all garment categories • Supervise fittings with a focus on fit, balance, proportion, and comfort • Provide structured alteration instructions to tailoring teams • Ensure final garments meet couture-level fit and finishing standards 8. Order Management & Production Coordination • Ensure complete accuracy in order documentation, measurements, and customization details • Verify order forms before submission to avoid discrepancies • Coordinate with design and production teams for timelines and execution • Track orders from booking to final delivery • Proactively resolve delays or issues to maintain service excellence 9. Inventory & Stock Management • Monitor stock movement, availability, and product flow within the store • Maintain accurate inventory records and tracking systems • Coordinate with warehouse and backend teams for replenishment • Prevent stock discrepancies, damages, or losses • Ensure proper handling and storage of high-value garments 10. Store Operations & SOP Compliance • Ensure all store operations follow structured SOPs and workflows • Maintain order trackers, client records, and documentation systems • Ensure discipline and consistency in daily operations • Identify gaps in processes and implement improvements • Ensure smooth coordination between all store functions 11. CRM, Reporting & Client Insights • Maintain detailed client databases including measurements, preferences, and purchase history • Track sales performance and generate structured reports • Analyse client behavior and buying patterns • Use insights to improve sales strategies and client engagement 12. Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation • Ensure the store reflects premium luxury standards at all times • Oversee garment display, merchandising, and product placement • Maintain cleanliness and presentation across store, trial rooms, and client areas • Conduct regular quality checks on garments and displays 13. Cross-Functional Coordination • Work closely with design, production, merchandising, accounts, and backend teams • Ensure timely communication of client requirements and updates • Maintain alignment between retail operations and backend execution • Resolve operational and logistical issues efficiently 14. Brand Representation & Market Awareness • Act as a brand ambassador reflecting the ethos of SDS by KUSHAL SHAH • Uphold high standards of grooming, communication, and professionalism • Stay updated on global and domestic couture trends and designers • Ensure every interaction reflects refinement, discretion, and excellence QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES • 3–6+ years of experience in luxury retail, couture/bespoke sales, or high-end menswear • Proven experience in managing teams and driving store revenue • Strong understanding of garment construction, tailoring, fabrics, and embroidery • Experience handling high-value clients and delivering personalized service • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities • Ability to manage multiple priorities and client orders simultaneously • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales tracking tools, and operational processes • Well-groomed and aligned with luxury brand standards • Must be based in Mumbai or within a commutable distance to Kalaghoda
