Position Overview To support the company’s strategic growth with both new and existing customers, our client is seeking a senior-level New Projects Manager to oversee a portfolio of upcoming business opportunities. This role is fully accountable for driving project convergence in terms of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) during the early scoping phase. Reporting directly to the Global Project Director , the selected candidate will lead QCD governance for new powertrain product development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & QCD Management Support the business development team during customer engagements, specifically on engineering-related topics. Lead QCT estimation and quotation for new projects involving core technical competencies. Oversee the full lifecycle of new project development from scoping to execution. Report project status to the Global Director and CTO. Directly manage multiple Project Leaders within the team. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and ensure alignment across all project streams. Define and validate technical/economic feasibility, ensuring product and process concepts comply with internal standards. Make technical and economic decisions to optimize quality and project profitability. Ensure delivery of project objectives related to Quality, Cost, and Lead Time across pre-project, development, and production phases. Oversee key deliverables (technical, economic, quality, safety, planning) required for milestone validation and regulatory compliance. Manage and engage suppliers during both development and series phases. Assess and monitor risks and opportunities, ensuring proper budget allocation for new projects. Innovation & Technology Development Lead highly complex R&D projects requiring coordination across multiple research initiatives. Develop and monitor technological roadmaps in collaboration with suppliers, academic partners, and start-ups. Ensure alignment of technology roadmaps with long-term product strategy and 10-year vision. Guide research activities, innovation workshops, concept development, and prototyping within the company’s internal labs network. Represent the company in external research programs and participate in relevant technical committees. Candidate Profile Education Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent. Experience 10+ years in powertrain development. Minimum 5 years in project management. At least 3 years in direct team leadership. Soft Skills Strong project management expertise. Excellent cross-functional leadership and facilitation skills. Ability to communicate complex topics with clarity and synthesis. Proven negotiation skills with multiple strategic stakeholders. Strong capability in risk and opportunity management. Technical Skills Strong understanding of economic levers, business drivers, and negotiation principles. Deep knowledge of automotive technologies, system architecture, and product/process design. Expertise in automotive development processes, standards, and lifecycle management.
