This role requires hands on experience, expertise in ETL tools, scripts (likes of ODI, Talend, Airflow, Kafka etc.), SQL, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and leadership skills to mentor teams and manage stakeholder requirements. Key Responsibilities Architecture, Design & delivery: Develop and maintain technical architectures for data integration, including ETL/ELT processes, API integrations, Performance optimization. And lead a team of data engineers for implementing the same. Team Leadership: Lead a team of developers/analysts, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and mentoring. System Integration: Oversee the consolidation of data from disparate sources (internal databases, external vendors) into a centralized, accessible system. Data Quality & Optimization: Ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot integration bottlenecks, and optimize SQL queries and data workflows for performance. Setting up & owning data operations (DataOps) Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and DBAs to align data strategies with business goals. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: 9+ years in data integration, ETL development, or similar roles. Technical Skills: Expert-level SQL, proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., ODI, Airflow, Talend), and experience with cloud storage (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob), basic introduction data transformation using Python. Data Modeling: Strong understanding of business data, dimensional modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas. Tools: Experience with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and DI tools is often required. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
