Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced, result-oriented Plant Manager to join a leading cosmetics manufacturer and oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring maximum production efficiency, maintaining product quality standards, and ensuring safety compliance while adhering to budgetary goals. The role involves leading and driving daily production processes, controlling inventory, managing manpower, maintaining equipment efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence across the factory. Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies and plans to meet production goals and objectives. Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring efficient production and achievement of production targets. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various processes. Continuously monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Implement and maintain effective inventory management and control systems. Provide strong leadership and guidance, address worker issues, and motivate teams. Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the plant environment. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training programs. Lead and participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities. Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to optimize processes. Identify and evaluate new technologies, equipment, and process improvements. Work closely with contractor teams to address manpower gaps as needed. Manage local FDA-related matters and build a strong relationship with regulatory authorities. Handle customer and FDA audits. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. 10+ years proven experience in a leadership role within the cosmetics manufacturing industry. Ability to work under pressure and understand business strategy and requirements. Strong knowledge of cosmetics manufacturing processes, including batch processing. Sound understanding of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality management systems. Understanding of regulatory requirements. Good oral and written communication skills, along with strong technical presentation abilities. Demonstrated experience in plant setup, commissioning, and process optimization. Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving production targets. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
