Location: Dehradun Type: Full-time Experience: 3–5 years Compensation: INR 8,00,000 – 12,00,000 LPA (based on candidature and profile) About CodeYogi Foundation CodeYogi Foundation empowers millions of Indian students who lack access to computers to learn professional coding and confidently pursue careers in technology. We're building a mobile-first, AI-powered learning platform — because 90% of students in tier-2/3 cities only have phones, not laptops. We've reached 300K+ students across 9 states, with 48.6% girls. Our students build real web apps, advance to competitive programs, and land tech careers — all learning on smartphones. We're a small, high-impact team of 17+ people, scaling fast. We need a designer who can give our mission a visual voice. The Role We're looking for a Graphic Designer who can translate CodeYogi's mission into visual language — across every surface, every format, every audience. This isn't a role where you'll get pixel-perfect briefs and execute. You'll think visually for the organization. You'll shape how 300K+ students' stories are seen, how our brand shows up on social media, how our impact lands with donors, and how our presence feels at events. You'll work across social media, brand collateral, website elements, print materials, and motion graphics. This role is for you if: - You think in visuals before words - You can design a carousel post AND an annual report AND an event banner — and each one feels right - You're fast without being sloppy, and careful without being slow - You care about the story behind the design, not just the aesthetics - You want your work to mean something What You'll Do Social Media Design (30%) - Design graphics for LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, and YouTube — carousels, static posts, story templates, reel covers, thumbnails - Create platform-specific visuals — not one-size-fits-all resizing - Build reusable templates that maintain quality at speed - Translate student stories and impact data into visually compelling social content - Stay current with platform trends, formats, and visual styles Brand Collateral (25%) - Design presentations, pitch decks, donor reports, impact reports, and one-pagers - Create internal documents that look as good as external ones - Build templates for recurring needs (monthly reports, team updates, proposals) - Ensure every piece of collateral reinforces CodeYogi's brand identity Website & Digital (15%) - Design website elements, landing pages, and UI components - Create email headers, newsletter templates, and digital campaign assets - Design for mobile-first — our students are on phones, and so is our audience - Build digital assets that are clean, fast-loading, and accessible Print & Events (15%) - Design event banners, standees, posters, certificates, and handouts - Create materials for college visits, conferences, and school partnerships - Design for different scales — from a phone screen to a 6-foot banner - Ensure print materials are production-ready (bleed, resolution, color profiles) Motion & Video Graphics (15%) - Create video thumbnails, intro/outro animations, and lower thirds - Design motion graphics for social media (animated posts, short loops) - Build visual elements for video content (text overlays, transitions, data visualizations) - Create short animated explainers or data stories when needed What Success Looks Like in 6 Months - Visual identity established — CodeYogi has a consistent, recognizable visual presence across all platforms and materials - Template library built — Reusable templates for social posts, presentations, reports, and events that the team can use - Social content quality — Every post looks intentional, branded, and engaging — not like a last-minute Canva job - Speed + quality balance — You deliver polished work on time, consistently, without needing multiple revision cycles - Brand guardian — You've become the person who ensures everything CodeYogi puts out looks and feels right - Design system thinking— You've moved beyond individual assets to building systems — templates, guidelines, component libraries Must-Have Skills Design Craft: 1. Visual Design Excellence — Clean, purposeful, polished. Typography, color theory, composition, hierarchy. Every choice has a reason. 2. Brand Design Thinking— Systems, not just assets. A social post, pitch deck, and event banner that all feel like the same brand. 3. Multi-Format Versatility — Social graphics, presentations, print, web, motion. Strong across the board. 4. Typography & Layout — Strong pairing, hierarchy, spacing, readability. White space is your friend. 5. Motion & Animation (Basic to Intermediate)— Simple animations, transitions, animated social posts, video elements. Execution: 6. Design Speed — 3-5 polished social graphics in a day. Efficient workflow with templates and shortcuts. 7. Tool Proficiency— Professional design tools, whatever your stack. Comfortable learning new tools quickly. 8. Production Quality — Right size, resolution, format. Print files with proper bleed. Pixel-perfect exports. Thinking: 9. Design Thinking — /"What's the goal?/" before /"What should it look like?/" You solve problems visually. 10. Storytelling Through Design — Data, impact numbers, student stories turned into visual narratives people stop scrolling for. 11. Feedback & Iteration — Take feedback well, iterate quickly, explain decisions when asked. 12. Ownership & Initiative — Don't wait for perfect briefs. See what's needed and propose solutions. Nice-to-Have Skills - Illustration skills (custom illustrations, icons, character design) - Advanced motion graphics or animation (After Effects level) - Video editing capability - UI/UX design experience - Photography skills - 3D design or isometric illustration - Experience in the non-profit or education space Who You Are Foundational Qualities (Non-Negotiable) - Ownership — You treat CodeYogi's visual identity as YOUR work. You don't need someone to tell you something looks bad — you see it and fix it. - Excellence — You care about the details. Pixel alignment, consistent spacing, proper exports. Nothing goes out that you wouldn't put in your portfolio. - Speed — You ship. You don't spend a week on a carousel. You balance quality with velocity because both matter. - Resourcefulness — No brief? Unclear direction? You figure it out. You propose, you don't just wait. - Adaptability — Today it's a LinkedIn carousel, tomorrow it's a 10-foot event banner, the day after it's a donor deck. You switch gears without drama. - Integrity — You represent students' stories visually with honesty. No stock photos pretending to be our students. No exaggerated data visualizations. - Communication— You explain your design choices clearly. You ask good questions when briefs are unclear. You close loops. - Mission Alignment — You care that your work reaches students, moves donors, and amplifies a mission that matters. What We’re NOT Looking For - Portfolio-over-production designers — If your portfolio has 10 beautiful pieces that each took a month, but you can't produce 5 good social graphics in a day, this isn't the right fit - Brief-dependent designers — If you can't start without a detailed brief, this isn't for you. You'll often get half-formed ideas and need to figure out the visual - Style-over-substance designers — If you prioritize looking cool over communicating clearly, we're not aligned. Our audience is students in tier-2/3 cities and donors — clarity beats cleverness - Specialists only — If you only do social, or only do print, or only do UI — this role needs range - Slow perfectionists — If you need 3 days to design a single post, the pace here won't work What We Offer Ownership You'll shape CodeYogi's entire visual identity. Every graphic, every deck, every banner — it all carries your craft. Direct impact on how 300K+ students' stories are seen. Impact Your designs will appear in front of donors, media, government partners, and thousands of students. This isn't designing ad banners for a product — it's giving a movement its visual voice. Learning Wide range of design challenges — social, print, digital, motion, data visualization, brand systems. You'll grow as a designer because you'll design everything. Team Small, mission-driven, no-nonsense. We care about the work, not the politics. Your craft matters here. One More Thing We don't need a designer who makes things pretty. We need a designer who makes things clear, compelling, and unmistakably CodeYogi. If you look at our current visual presence and think /"I can make this so much better/" — we should talk. Equal Opportunity CodeYogi Foundation is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
