Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region for an Astronomy Educator. The educator will be responsible for delivering interactive lessons and designing innovative educational activities to spark interest in astronomy among students. Key responsibilities include lesson planning, conducting hands-on programs using astronomy labs, portable planetariums, and DIY kits, and engaging with schools to foster a curiosity for space science. Additionally, collaboration with fellow team members to improve and implement outreach initiatives will be an essential part of the role. Qualifications - Proficiency in Lesson Planning and designing engaging educational content - Strong skills in Education and Teaching, specifically in making complex topics accessible and stimulating for students - Excellent Communication skills to engage diverse audiences and explain concepts effectively - Experience in Training or mentoring individuals or groups is a plus - Passion for astronomy and science education with the ability to inspire curiosity - Flexibility to work on-site and travel to educational institutions as needed - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Astronomy, or a related field preferred
