About the Company Healthunbox Private Limited operates OrganicBazar, a fast-growing D2C eCommerce brand in the gardening space. We sell seeds, grow bags, fertilizers, tools, planters, and are expanding into live plants. Based in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh, we process 15,000+ orders monthly across Shopify, Amazon, and marketplace channels with a 44+ member team. About the Role We are looking for a dedicated HR Manager who will own the complete HR function — from hiring to compliance — reporting directly to the Founder. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with full ownership of people operations. Responsibilities - Recruitment & Hiring - End-to-end hiring across office, warehouse, and operations roles (telecalling, dispatch, admin, customer support). - Maintain daily hiring tracker and drive strong offer-to-joining conversions. - Source candidates through job portals, local networks, and referrals suited to a Tier 3 city context. - Onboarding & Induction - Complete joining documentation, ID verification, and bank/PF/ESIC registration for every new hire. - Deliver structured induction covering company policies, role expectations, and reporting lines. - Performance Management - Run appraisal cycles, KRA/KPI setting, probation reviews, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) in coordination with the Founder. - Track employee performance data and flag retention risks proactively. - Employee Retention & Engagement - Monitor attrition trends and conduct exit interviews to identify systemic issues. - Drive basic engagement initiatives suited to a blue-collar + office workforce mix. - HR Operations & Employee Relations - Manage attendance, leave records, employee files, HR letters, and grievance handling. - Maintain and update HR policies as the team scales. - Exit Management & Full & Final Settlement - Own complete offboarding process including F&F calculation, experience letters, and relieving documents. - Payroll & Statutory Compliance - Coordinate payroll inputs with accounts and independently handle PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax (PT) filings. - Own the monthly compliance calendar with zero defaults. - Labour Law & Contract Compliance - Maintain statutory registers, file annual returns, ensure minimum wage compliance across applicable states (MP, Maharashtra). - Manage contract labour documentation where applicable. - HR Reporting & Systems - Provide weekly HR MIS to the Founder covering hiring pipeline, attendance, attrition, and compliance status. - Build scalable HR systems using Google Sheets, HRMS, or ATS tools. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in an end-to-end HR Generalist or HR Operations role. - Proven hands-on experience independently filing PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax. - Strong hiring ownership with demonstrated offer-to-joining conversion track record. - Experience managing blue-collar workforce and operations-heavy team compliance. - Handled performance management cycles and F&F settlements independently. - Fluent in Hindi and English (spoken and written). - Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills. HRMS or ATS experience is a plus. Preferred Skills - eCommerce, D2C, Warehouse/Logistics, or Retail industries. - Experience working in Tier 2/Tier 3 city operations is a strong plus. - Familiarity with multi-state GST and compliance requirements.
