Job Title: GIS Data Specialist Experience: 4+ Years Location: [Pan MP] Department: GIS / Geospatial Services Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented GIS Data Specialist with 4+ years of hands-on experience in spatial data management, mapping, and geospatial analysis. The candidate will be responsible for data creation, validation, geodatabase management, and supporting GIS-based projects across departments. Key Responsibilities Create, edit, and maintain spatial datasets (vector & raster). Perform map digitization, georeferencing, and topology correction. Manage and update geodatabases using ArcGIS and QGIS. Conduct spatial analysis and generate thematic maps and reports. Perform QA/QC checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Handle coordinate systems, projections, and data conversions (Shapefile, KML, GeoJSON). Integrate GIS data with MIS or enterprise systems. Support GPS survey data processing and satellite imagery interpretation. Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders for data requirements. Required Skills Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience in: ArcGIS Pro ArcMap QGIS Geodatabase management (File GDB / Enterprise GDB) Spatial data analysis & geoprocessing Topology and data validation Knowledge of SQL / PostGIS Basic Python scripting (preferred) Understanding of Remote Sensing concepts Educational Qualification B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc in GIS / Geoinformatics / Geography / Remote Sensing / Civil Engineering Preferred Experience Experience in Smart City / Utility Mapping / Land Records / Infrastructure Projects Exposure to Web GIS platforms Experience working with government or enterprise GIS projects Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and documentation ability Ability to work independently and in a team
