Job Summary & Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible for providing database support . The roles require candidate to have experience in the following area: * Monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting issues for SAP Sybase ASE and SAP Sybase Replication Server environment globally. * Managing database alerts on ticketing tools * Bulk-Copy in/out of data * Backup and Recovery procedures for databases and transactions * Production support is a requirement and is done on a rotational basis including weekends * Troubleshooting for server and database related problems. * Manage and perform physical database maintenance (including running of appropriate utilities, jobs, scripts, autosys). * Perform Installation of database software. Support DBMS Software (Upgrades/Security Patches). * Installing Audit Functionality's and Auditing Login's and database object. * Install and maintain related database management tools * Expert in Database weekly maintenance and always take the decision for critical application database for weekly maintenance. * DR and high availability, replication strategy. Technology: SAP Sybase ASE (12.5.4->16.0), SAP Sybase replication (15.x) Basic Qualifications: * 3 to 6 years' experience as a DBA supporting large scale implementation * Strong experience in SAP Sybase ASE administration and Replications server , maintenance and implementation in a complex system environment * Exposure to SAP Sybase ASE (12.x -> 16.0) database administration / Sybase Replication under Linux platform. * Strong working knowledge on DBA tasks, troubleshooting and analytical skills * Willing to work on weekend * Strong team player, good communication and interpersonal skills * Results oriented and highly flexible Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of Multiple database platforms would be beneficial.
