Role- Process Engineer – Turning & Turn-Mill Specialist / VTL Location- Sri City Experience - 10+ Role Overview A Process Engineer in this domain is responsible for developing, optimizing, and standardizing machining processes for CNC turning, turn-mill centers, and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) to ensure high productivity, precision, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities - Develop and optimize machining processes for: -CNC Turning (2-axis, multi-axis) -Turn-Mill / Mill-Turn centers -VTL (Vertical Turning Lathes) - Select cutting tools, inserts, and workholding solutions - Create and validate CNC programs (G-code, CAM-generated) - Reduce cycle time while maintaining quality standards - Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, chatter, dimensional errors) - Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions - Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams - Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives - Prepare process documentation (SOPs, control plans, setup sheets) Key Skills - Strong knowledge of: -Turning and milling operations -Cutting tool technology -GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) -CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.) - Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360) - Understanding of materials (steel, alloys, castings, forgings) - Process optimization and cycle time reduction - Problem-solving and analytical skills Industries - Aerospace - Automotive - Oil & Gas - Heavy engineering - Power generation
