Program Manager (Technical) – Telecom Platform Innovation, Infrastructure & AI Role Overview We are seeking a technically strong Program Manager to lead Telecom Platform initiatives with a focus on infrastructure reliability, build & release excellence, and automation-driven operations, while enabling AI-led innovation. This role combines program leadership with hands-on technical depth, ensuring scalable, resilient, and efficient telecom systems. The individual will drive execution across platform, infrastructure, and DevOps functions, while incubating AI capabilities as a strategic initiative. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership - Lead end-to-end delivery of telecom platform initiatives (messaging, VoIP, real-time services, API platforms). - Manage cross-functional teams across engineering, network, infrastructure, DevOps, and operations. - Drive platform and infrastructure modernization aligned with cloud-native architectures. - Ensure adherence to SLA, latency, scalability, and high-availability standards. Technical, Infrastructure, Build & Automation - Oversee platform infrastructure support ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. - Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to manage hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud). - Drive build and release management, ensuring consistent and high-quality deployments. - Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery. - Lead adoption of containerized and orchestrated environments (Kubernetes). - Develop and promote automation using Python scripting across deployment and operational workflows. - Strengthen monitoring and observability frameworks, leveraging tools such as Zabbix. - Implement SRE practices including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root cause analysis. - Ensure robust environment configuration, version control, and dependency management. - Drive continuous improvement in deployment velocity, system stability, and operational efficiency. AI Enablement (Strategic Initiative) - Identify and incubate AI use cases in platform operations (predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, intelligent alerting). - Support development and scaling of AI solutions in collaboration with data and architecture teams. Capability Development - Mentor teams on modern platform engineering, automation, and infrastructure-aware design. - Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline. - 8–12 years of experience of managing a team of 50+ engineers in telecom software platforms or communication systems. - Proven experience managing technology programs involving platform and infrastructure. - Strong understanding of real-time systems and distributed architectures. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments. - Proficiency in Python scripting for automation. - Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix (or similar). - Exposure to AI/ML applications in enterprise or telecom environments is a plus.
